Job summary

Englewood Health is seeking a Medical Assistant/Patient Care Technician to support primary health services. Under supervision, you will interview patients, collect demographic and financial information, and assist with patient registration and data entry.

You will help manage patient flow from waiting area to exam rooms and perform preparatory tasks for physicians. Candidates should have medical terminology knowledge, familiarity with practice management systems, and current CPR certification.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent or 5 years of Medical Assistant/PCT experience.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant/Patient Care Technician program preferred.
• Current CPR Certification.
• Certification required for injection administration and medication documentation/handling.

Responsibilities

• Assist in delivery of primary health and patient care management.
• Interview patients and/or their representatives to obtain personal, demographic, and financial information.
• Perform routine clerical, secretarial and administrative work in patient registration and data entry.
• Assist with flow of patients from waiting area to exam rooms and prepare patients for the physician's time.
