Job summary

Community Health Network is seeking a Medical Assistant for an ambulatory health care site. You will assist the provider by facilitating patient visits, performing routine lab tests, handling referrals, and contributing to quality outcomes for our practice population.

Qualifications

• Graduate/certificate of completion from a recognized medical assisting program.
• High School Diploma or GED plus one year MA experience in a physician practice in the past three years.
• Medical Assistant certification required within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepare exam rooms and treatment areas for patient use including required cleaning and stocking of supplies.
• Room patients and manage an efficient flow of provider's caseload.
• Obtain necessary vital signs, EKGs, and/or specimen collection.
• Documentation of care using the EPIC EMR system.
• Perform Point of Care Testing based on patient's chief complaint and available protocols.
• Process referrals and medication refills.
• Maintain positive relationships with patients, providers, and staff.

The Medical Assistant will be responsible for assisting the provider of an ambulatory health care site with facilitation of patient visit and procedures, routine laboratory tests, referrals, and quality outcomes for the population of the practice. Exceptional Skills and Qualifications
