Pelvic Rehabilitation Medicine is seeking a Part-time Medical Assistant to support clinicians, manage front‑desk operations, and ensure a smooth patient experience in our Florida practice. The role includes room preparation, ultrasound‑guided procedure support, vitals collection, and EMR documentation.

Qualifications

• CMA certification required.
• High School Diploma or GED or Associate degree.
• Proven working experience as a medical assistant.

Responsibilities

• Greet and check in patients; manage front‑desk and patient flow throughout the day
• Prepare exam rooms and assist physicians with procedures, including ultrasound‑guided treatments
• Record vitals, update medical histories, and accurately document in the EMR
• Schedule appointments and coordinate follow‑up care
• Collect payments at time of service and deliver financial packets as instructed by Treatment Plan Coordinators or the financial team
• Verify insurance eligibility and ensure all paperwork is properly completed
• Maintain clinical and front office supplies; ensure all rooms are clean and well‑stocked
• Comply with HIPAA, OSHA, and all internal protocols
• Handle confidential patient information with professionalism and discretion
• Support internal coordination between clinical and administrative teams
• Participate in team trainings and ongoing process improvement initiatives
• Other duties as assigned by the department lead/manager

Requirements

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, CCMA, or equivalent)
• High School Diploma or GED or Associate degree
• Proven working experience as a medical assistant
• Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Excellent time management skills and ability to multi‑task and prioritize work
• Social perceptiveness and service oriented
• Able to safely lift up to 50 pounds and trained to assist with patient transfers and support
• Able to stand or sit for long durations of time
• Strong computer skills with EMRs, Microsoft Office, Teams, and Outlook
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
