Job summary

Pelvic Rehabilitation Medicine is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinical procedures and front desk operations, ensuring a smooth patient experience.

You will assist physicians, document in the EMR, and help manage patient flow throughout the day. The role requires CMA certification, a high school diploma or equivalent, and proven medical assistant experience. Proficiency with EMR and MS Office, plus strong communication and organizational skills, are essential.

Qualifications

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, CCMA, or equivalent) required.
• High School Diploma or GED or Associate degree required.
• Proven working experience as a medical assistant.
• Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Excellent time management and ability to multi-task.
• Social perceptiveness and service oriented.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and assist with patient transfers.

Responsibilities

• Greet and check in patients; manage front desk and patient flow throughout the day.
• Prepare exam rooms and assist physicians with procedures, including ultrasound-guided treatments.
• Record vitals, update medical histories, and document in the EMR.
• Schedule appointments and coordinate follow-up care.
• Collect payments at time of service and deliver financial packets as instructed by Treatment Plan Coordinators or the financial team.
• Verify insurance eligibility and ensure all paperwork is properly completed.
• Maintain clinical and front office supplies; ensure rooms are clean and stocked.
• Comply with HIPAA, OSHA, and internal protocols.
• Handle confidential patient information with professionalism and discretion.
• Support coordination between clinical and administrative teams.
• Participate in team trainings and ongoing process improvement initiatives.
• Other duties as assigned by the department lead/manager.
