Responsibilities include scheduling, patient check-in/out, vitals, urine drug screens, and input into the EHR; you may also assist with evaluations and medication management, including prior authorizations. A high school diploma is required and 1–3 years MA experience is preferred.

• Assist with patient evaluations as directed by Physician.
• Input accurate patient information into the electronic health record (EHR).
• Call in patient medications as directed by Physician.
• Send prior-authorizations to insurance companies.
• Perform daily financial summary and balance payments received.
• Responsible for cash collection and verification of benefits.
• Review the Prescription Monitoring Database.
• Provide education and resource information regarding medication.

Spero Health is seeking a Part-Time Medical Assistant to join our awesome team in Bowling Green, KY!

*** Part-Time schedule is as follows: Monday 10 am - 6:30 pm, Tuesday 8 am - 4:30 pm, & Thursday 10 am - 6:30 pm ***

Requirements

Education:

• High School Diploma required
• Graduation from an accredited program for Medical Assisting preferred

Experience:

• 1-3 years as a Medical Assistant (or similar type role)
• Phlebotomy and lab experience preferred
• Experience with injections preferred
• Must be able to obtain and maintain CPR certification
