Job summary

Arlington Orthopedics Associates in Addison, TX is seeking a part-time Certified Medical Assistant to join a fast-paced pain management team. The role includes scribe duties, patient history, assisting with examinations, and ensuring supplies are prepared for procedures.

You will work closely with healthcare providers to support clinical operations, provide compassionate patient care, and maintain accurate medical records.

Qualifications

  • Certified Medical Assistant with 1 year minimum experience.
  • Scribe experience is a plus.
  • Medical office experience (2 years) required.
  • Pain management experience preferred.
  • Relevant: 1 year of experience in the field.

Responsibilities

  • Answers phones.
  • Scribing for the provider.
  • Performs general nursing care to patients by following established standards and procedures.
  • Greets patients and escorts them to rooms.
  • Interviews patients, measures vital signs and records information.
  • May collect urine samples and prepare specimens for lab analysis.
  • Prepares examination rooms and maintains daily cleaning list.
  • Filling out procedure consents.
  • Schedules patients for special procedures with ASC centers.
  • Documents patient care plans, charts, tests, and examination results in the medical record.
  • Escalates non-routine issues to Office Manager or Physician.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Essential Functions
