Job summary

Texas Spine Consultants is seeking an experienced Certified Medical Assistant to join our pain management practice part-time. The role includes scribing for the provider, taking patient histories, assisting with examinations, and maintaining medical supplies.

The ideal candidate will have CMA certification, 1 year clinical experience, 2 years in a medical office, and Scribe experience is a plus. We offer a supportive team and a competitive benefits package.

Essential Functions

• Answers phones.
• Scribing for the provider.
• Performs general nursing care to patients by following established standards and procedures.
• Greets patients and takes them back to rooms.
• Interviews patients, measures vital signs and records information on patient's charts.
• May be required to collect urine samples from patients and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis.
• Prepares examination rooms and maintains daily cleaning list.
• Filling out procedure consents.
• Schedules patients for their special procedures with the ASC centers.
• Formulates and documents patient care plans, charts, tests and examination results in the medical record.
• Escalates non-routine issues to the Office Manager or Physician.
• Performs other duties as assigned by Office Manager or Physician.
