Job summary

CalOptima is seeking a Medical Assistant (PACE) to support the PACE-Clinic team under supervision of the Clinic Nurse. The role includes performing routine procedures, injections, venipuncture, and assisting with tests while ensuring accurate charting and patient care.

You’ll coordinate appointments and collaborate with providers and staff to deliver high-quality care. The position is based in Orange, CA with potential for full office work; bilingual and California residency are valued assets.

Qualifications

• CPR and First-Aid Certification required or must be obtained within six months.
• High school diploma or equivalent plus 3 years of work experience with at least 1 year with frail or elderly population.

Responsibilities

• Assist in direct participant care under supervision of the Clinic Nurse.
• Perform routine procedures, tests, injections, venipuncture, and basic clinical support.
• Schedule and follow up on appointments; maintain charting and records.
• Maintain equipment and supply logs; support front office duties as needed.
