Job summary

American Family Care Fountain City is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide general medical care under a licensed provider in an outpatient clinic. You will work at a franchised AFC location, performing patient intake, vitals, and basic procedures in a fast-paced setting.

You will explain treatments, administer medications, draw blood, and maintain accurate records while supporting immunizations and referrals as needed. Experience and AMT/AAMA certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent education required.
• AMT registered and AAMA certification preferred.
• Six months to one year related experience or training required.

Responsibilities

• Obtain patient vitals, medical history, and reason for visit.
• Explain prescribed procedures and treatments to patients.
• Administer medications and prepare labs.
• Draw blood and prepare lab specimens.
• Perform lab tests and quality controls.
• Document accurately and maintain exam rooms.
• Coordinate referrals and pre-certifications as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
