Catholic Health Physician Practices in East Hills, NY is hiring a Medical Assistant to support a Cardiothoracic physician practice. You will perform clinical and administrative tasks, prepare exam rooms, take vitals, and assist with procedures while ensuring patient flow and care quality.

The ideal candidate has a NYS-accredited Medical Assistant program, 1–2 years of MA experience, and current certification (preferred). This is a on-site role with opportunities for growth within Catholic Health.

Qualifikationen

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Graduation from a NYS-accredited Medical Assistant program required.
• Current Medical Assistant certification preferred (NHA, AMT, AAMA, NCCT).
• BCLS certification (American Heart Association) required (in-person).
• Strong clinical skills including phlebotomy and aseptic technique.
• 1–2 years of MA experience.

• Review upcoming appointments and identify gaps in care.
• Escort patients to rooms and manage patient flow.
• Take and record vitals, patient history, allergies, meds, and concerns.

• Collect and process lab specimens and document results.
• Perform quality checks on equipment and testing materials.
• Assist at front desk as needed and verify insurance.
• Collaborate with providers to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Job Details

What You’ll Do:

As a key member of our clinical team, you’ll play a vital role in supporting patient care and keeping our practice running smoothly. Your day-to-day work will directly impact our patients’ health and experience.

• Prepare exam rooms: sanitize, stock supplies, and ensure medications/vaccines are ready for the day
• Review upcoming appointments and identify gaps in care (mammograms, colonoscopies, immunizations, etc.)
• Escort patients to rooms and manage patient flow to maximize efficiency
• Take and record vitals, patient history, allergies, medications, and current concerns
• Assist with procedures, including EKGs, Holter monitors, and in-office testing
• Collect and process lab specimens; track and document results
• Perform quality control on equipment and testing materials
• Help at the front desk when needed — greeting patients, answering phones, verifying insurance
• Collaborate with providers and the care team to ensure the best patient outcomes

What You Bring:

• High School diploma and/or GED required
• Graduation from a NYS-accredited Medical Assistant programis required
• Current Medical Assistant certificationpreferred (NHA, AMT, AAMA, NCCT)
• BCLS certification(in-person training only, American Heart Association)
• Strong clinical skills includingphlebotomyandaseptic technique
• A team-first attitude and commitment to providing respectful, quality care
• Must have 1-2 yrs. of experience as a medical assistant

Salary Range

USD $26.00 - USD $30.00 /Hr.

This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience and position location. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
