Job summary

UW Health in northern Illinois is hiring a Medical Assistant to join our clinic team at 1253 N Alpine Rd. The role supports patient flow, performs basic clinical tasks, and collaborates with providers.

Minimum education includes an accredited Associate degree or Medical Assistant program, or at least 2 years of relevant clinic experience. Must have HS diploma and current BLS; RMA/AAMA/CCMA/NCCT certification and ongoing maintenance required.

• Associate degree or Medical Assistant program completed, or at least 2 years of relevant clinic experience.
• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• Computer experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical support in a clinic setting.
• Assist with patient flow and basic clinical tasks as directed.

Work Schedule

Per Diem, Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm, you will work at UW Health N. Alpine Clinic 1253 N Alpine Rd.

Additional components of compensation may include

• Evening, night, and weekend shift differential

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited Associate degree program or Medical Assistant program or have at least 2 years of relevant experience. Required
• Must provide copy of HS diploma or equivalent, or highest level of completed degree obtained. Required

Work Experience

• At least one year of professional experience in a clinic setting. Preferred
• Computer experience. Required

Licenses & Certifications

• RMA, AAMA, CCMA or NCCT certification is required upon hire. Required
• Basic Life Support/CPR Certification. Required
• Active RMA, AAMA, CCMA or NCCT certification must be maintained. Required
