Job summary

MaineHealth is seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant to join our busy Orthopedics team in North Conway. The role supports a full spectrum of patient care from newborns to seniors, collaborating with providers and staff to deliver patient-centered care.

Requirements include a high school diploma, MA credentialing, BLS, and 6 months of MA experience or 1 year in a clinical role. Sign-on bonuses apply for eligible candidates; 40-hour work week; base pay ranges hourly.

Qualifications

Are you looking for a career where you can truly make a difference every day? Our Primary Care team in North Conway is seeking a compassionate and motivated Medical Assistant to join our busy Orthopedics practice.

As part of our team, you'll play a vital role in providing exceptional care to patients of all ages-from newborns to older adults. You'll work alongside a supportive team of providers and staff who value collaboration, compassion, and patient-centered care.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

1. Education: High School diploma or GED preferred. Must meet one of the following requirements: Graduated from an accredited vocational institution or community college in Medical Assisting with 160 hours of clinical experience completed; or completion of an Adult Education Medical Assistant program and 6 months of clinical experience in a practice setting; or 1 year of clinical experience in a multi-provider practice setting (equivalent experience will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis).
2. License/Certifications: Current AAMA, NHA, AMT, or NCCT certification required. (Prior to 5/01/25 MA IIs with 10 years MA experience and employed by MaineHealth as a MA in the most recent 5 years are exempt from certification requirement). Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date. Fully remote care team members are exempt from BLS certification requirement. A NH Med Tech License, or NH EMT and National Registry EMT license is required for those positions located in New Hampshire.
3. Experience: Six months of experience as a Medical Assistant or one year as a MaineHealth Clinical Team Assistant.

The pay range for this position is $21.09to $27.12 per hour.
