Job summary

MaineHealth is seeking a Medical Assistant for the North Conway OB/GYN team. You will support routine visits, prenatal care, and patient education, working closely with providers and the clinical team to ensure compassionate, individualized care.

Qualified candidates may receive sign-on bonuses; full-time or part-time roles are available with prorated pay for part-time positions. Strong attention to detail and excellent communication are essential.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED preferred and clinical training in Medical Assisting.
  • Certification or eligibility as MA with related clinical experience.
  • Experience in a multi-provider practice is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with routine visits and preventive care in OB/GYN setting.

For a limited time MaineHealth is offering sign on bonuses for Medical Assistants:
*0-1 years of experience eligible for $4,000 (full time)
*1+ years of experience eligible for $5,000 (full time)
Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time MA position.
Bonus amount prorated for Part-time hires, per diem hires are ineligible.
Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible;
former MaineHealth Members are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
  1. Education: High School diploma or GED preferred. Must meet one of the following requirements: Graduated from an accredited vocational institution or community college in Medical Assisting with 160 hours of clinical experience completed; or completion of an Adult Education Medical Assistant program and 6 months of clinical experience in a practice setting; or 1 year of clinical experience in a multi-provider practice setting (equivalent experience will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis).
  2. License/Certifications: Current AAMA, NHA, AMT, or NCCT certification required. (Prior to 5/01/25 MA IIs with 10 years MA experience and employed by MaineHealth as a MA in the most recent 5 years are exempt from certification requirement). Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date. Fully remote care team members are exempt from BLS certification requirement. A NH Med Tech License, or NH EMT and National Registry EMT license is required for those positions located in New Hampshire.
  3. Experience: Six months of experience as a Medical Assistant or one year as a MaineHealth Clinical Team Assistant.

The base range is an estimate and does not reflect the full value of our total compensation package.

The pay range for this position is $21.09 to $27.12 per hour.

Compensation for part-time positions is determined on a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
