Job summary

MaineHealth in North Conway, NH, is seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant to join our busy Orthopedics practice. You will provide patient-centered support, assist physicians and care teams, and help ensure smooth clinic operations across all ages from newborns to seniors.

Eligible candidates must meet MA education options; BLS may be required; 40-hour workweek with comprehensive benefits. Remote work not available for this role.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED preferred with MA training and clinical hours.
  • Possible certifications: AAMA, NHA, AMT, NCCT, or NREMT preferred; BLS within 30 days.
  • NH licensure requirements apply for NH positions; applicable for NH sites.

Responsibilities

  • Support Orthopedics practice as Medical Assistant in a busy clinic.
  • Assist providers with patient care from newborns to older adults.
  • Collaborate with care team to ensure patient-centered, compassionate service.

Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time MA position.

Bonus amount prorated for Part-time hires, per diem hires are ineligible.

Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible;

former MaineHealth Members are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment.

This is a 40 hour per week position.

Are you looking for a career where you can truly make a difference every day? Our Primary Care team in North Conway is seeking a compassionate and motivated Medical Assistant to join our busy Orthopedics practice.

As part of our team, you'll play a vital role in providing exceptional care to patients of all ages—from newborns to older adults. You'll work alongside a supportive team of providers and staff who value collaboration, compassion, and patient-centered care.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities (KSAs)
  • Education: High School diploma or GED preferred. Must meet one of the following requirements: Graduated from an accredited vocational institution or community college in Medical Assisting with 160 hours of clinical experience completed; or completion of an Adult Education Medical Assistant program and 6 months of clinical experience in a practice setting; or 1 year of clinical experience in a multi-provider practice setting (equivalent experience will be evaluated on a case-case-basis.
  • License/Certifications: Current AAMA, NHA, AMT, NCCT, or NREMT certification preferred. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date. Fully remote care team members are exempt from BLS certification requirement. A NH Med Tech License, or NH EMT and National Registry EMT license is required for those positions located in New Hampshire.

The pay range for this position is $21.09 to $27.12 per hour.

Compensation for part-time positions is determined on a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
