Corewell Health Orthopedics in Ludington is hiring a Medical Assistant to join a fast-paced team focused on patient mobility and quality care. You will support clinicians, handle patient intake, and help ensure smooth clinic operations in a 40-hour Day shift.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program or 1 year direct patient care in MA scope.
• BLS certification required within 90 days; CMA/ RMA/ CCMA/ NCMA/ NRCMA certs within 120 days.

Responsibilities

• Support clinical team and assist with patient care in a busy orthopedic clinic.
• Coordinate with providers to ensure efficient patient flow and quality care.

About Outpatient Clinics

Scope of work

As a Medical Assistant with Corewell Health, you'll be a member of our clinical support team and work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of the best possible care. You'll be a vital part of our team, making a real difference in the lives of our patients.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent Required
• Successful completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program that includes hands‑on, in‑person clinical skills OR a minimum of one (1) year of experience working specifically in the role of a Medical Assistant, LPN, Paramedic or EMT performing direct patient care and clinical support functions consistent with an MA scope of practice Required
• 1 year of relevant experience in a physician practice or healthcare setting Preferred
• AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Required within 90 Days
• One of the following Required within 120 Days
• AAMA Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
• AMT Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)
• NHA Certified Medical Assistant (CCMA)
• NCCT Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA)
• NAHP Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA)
