Job summary

Corewell Health in Muskegon, MI is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our outpatient clinic team. You will support physicians and nurses, perform front- and back-office tasks, and help ensure efficient, patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment.

This full-time role offers daytime hours and strong team collaboration in a setting focused on Cardiology, Vein, Vascular, Pulmonary and Wound Care services. The role requires MA training or equivalent experience, and BLS within 90 days.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience in physician practice or healthcare setting preferred.
• BLS certification required within 90 days.

Corewell Health’s Shared Services Medical Outpatient Clinic in Muskegon, Michigan is a collaborative, patient-focused care environment that brings together multiple specialties under one roof. This clinic supports a multidisciplinary approach to treatment, partnering closely with providers across Cardiology, Vein, Vascular, Pulmonary, and Wound Care services. Team members play a vital role in coordinating care, enhancing patient experience, and ensuring seamless communication across specialties to deliver high-quality, comprehensive outpatient care.

Scope of work

As a Medical Assistant with Corewell Health, you'll be a member of our clinical support team and work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of the best possible care. You'll be a vital part of our team, making a real difference in the lives of our patients.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent Required
• Successful completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program that includes hands‑on, in‑person clinical skills OR a minimum of one (1) year of experience working specifically in the role of a Medical Assistant, LPN, Paramedic or EMT performing direct patient care and clinical support functions consistent with an MA scope of practice Required
• 1 year of relevant experience in a physician practice or healthcare setting Preferred
• AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Required within 90 Days
• One of the following Required within 120 Days
  • AAMA Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
  • AMT Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)
  • NHA Certified Medical Assistant (CCMA)
  • NCCT Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA)
  • NAHP Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA)
