Baptist Health Medical Group in Louisville, KY is seeking a Medical Assistant for our Orthopedics team. This full-time, first-shift role in the St. Matthews/Shelbyville Road area offers a $2,000 sign-on bonus and opportunities to grow within a supportive, collaborative clinic.

Responsibilities include rooming patients, obtaining vitals, documenting in EPIC, assisting with exams, managing follow-up care, and performing basic procedures once competent, such as EKGs and phlebotomy.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or GED.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant training program with hands-on clinical experience.
• Orientation and clinical competency assessment completed upon hire.
• Basic computer skills; EPIC EMR experience a plus.
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
• BAT and DOT certifications within 90 days of hire for Occupational Medicine positions.

• Provide direct clinical support to physicians and advanced practice providers.
• Obtain vital signs, collect patient history, and reconcile medications.
• Prepare patients for examinations and assist with patient flow throughout the clinic.
• Document patient information accurately in the EPIC electronic medical record.
• Schedule appointments and coordinate follow-up care.
• Process prescription refill requests and prior authorizations.
• Coordinate diagnostic testing and specialty procedures.
• After successful completion of clinical competency, perform clinical procedures such as EKGs, phlebotomy, laboratory testing, injections and vaccinations.
