Job summary

Baptist Health Medical Group in Corydon, IN, seeks a Medical Assistant to support Primary Care providers in a fast-paced clinic. Full-time, first shift, with a $2,000 sign-on bonus for eligible new hires.

You’ll obtain vitals, patient history, prepare exams, document in EPIC, coordinate follow-up, schedule tests, and assist with procedures such as EKGs, phlebotomy, and injections. All teammates value compassionate, hands-on care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One year of experience providing direct patient care in a medical setting or graduate of an accredited MA program.
• Certification as MA (AAMA/AMT/NAHP/NCCT/AAMP) preferred or required by role.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct clinical support to physicians and providers.
• Obtain vital signs and document patient history.
• Prepare patients for examinations and assist with patient flow.
• Document patient information in EPIC accurately.
• Schedule appointments and coordinate follow-up care.
• Process prescription refills and prior authorizations.
• Coordinate diagnostic testing and procedures.

Whether you’re an experienced Medical Assistant or a recent graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program, you’ll have the opportunity to grow your skills in a supportive and collaborative environment. ## What You’ll DoAs a Medical Assistant, you will:* Provide direct clinical support to physicians and advanced practice providers.* Obtain vital signs, collect patient history, and reconcile medications.* Prepare patients for examinations and assist with patient flow throughout the clinic.* Document patient information accurately in the EPIC electronic medical record.* Schedule appointments and coordinate follow-up care.* Process prescription refill requests and prior authorizations.* Coordinate diagnostic testing and specialty procedures.* After successful completion of clinical competency, perform clinical procedures such as: + EKGs + Phlebotomy + Laboratory testing + Injections and vaccinations* Maintain a safe, organized, and patient-focused clinical environment. ## What We’re Looking For**Required Qualifications*** High school diploma or GED **required**.* **One year of experience** providing direct, hands-on patient care in a medical office, clinic, or similar healthcare setting, including duties such as: + Obtaining vital signs + Documenting patient history and medications + Performing clinical procedures such as EKGs, phlebotomy, or administering injections**OR*** Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant training program that includes hands-on clinical experience.
