SynergenX Health in San Antonio, TX is seeking a Medical Assistant for a part-time, onsite role. You will support providers, perform phlebotomy and injections, and help maintain a welcoming clinic environment. Training is provided, and evening/Saturday shifts may be required.

The position emphasizes patient interaction, teamwork, and adherence to HIPAA and safety standards while offering competitive hourly pay and training opportunities.

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Phlebotomy experience required; 3 months or externship hours.
• MA or Phlebotomy certification preferred but not required.
• Experience with minor procedures is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Perform venipuncture and routine blood draws.
• Administer IM and subcutaneous injections as directed by providers.
• Assist providers with minor procedures.
• Complete laboratory testing, specimen preparation and documentation.
• Maintain accurate records and HIPAA compliance.
• Keep clinical areas clean and properly sterilized.
• Support front desk operations as needed.
• Follow clinic policies and safety standards.

As a Medical Assistant, you’ll work alongside providers and teammates to support patient care, keep the clinic running smoothly, and make patients feel welcomed, comfortable, and cared for at every visit. No MA Certification Required—We’ll Help You Get Started! Certification is not required for this position. We provide two full weeks of paid, hands‑on training to help you learn our clinic processes, develop your skills, and feel confident in your role. Key Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and create a friendly, positive experience

• Complete inventory counts and assist with clinic supplies
• Support front desk operations as needed
• Work with teammates to keep patient flow running smoothly
• Follow HIPAA, safety standards, and clinic policies

Qualifications

• Physical copy of a high school diploma or GED required
• At least 3 months of relevant medical experience performing phlebotomy, injections, and vitals OR 180 documented externship hours
• Phlebotomy experience required
• Medical Assistant experience preferred, but not required
• MA or Phlebotomy certification preferred, but not required
• Experience with minor procedures is a plus
• Basic knowledge of EMR systems, HIPAA, and clinical safety practices
• Successful completion of a background check

Clinic Operating Hours

• Monday: 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
• Tuesday: 8:00 AM–7:00 PM
• Wednesday: 8:00 AM–1:00 PM
• Thursday: 7:00 AM–5:00 PM
• Friday: 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
• Saturday: 8:00 AM–12:00 PM

Part‑Time Schedule: Approximately 20 hours per week.

Saturday Availability: Must be available to work 2–3 Saturdays per month.

Employees are expected to arrive 15 minutes before their scheduled shift and record all time worked.
