Job summary

SynergenX Health is hiring a part-time Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist in Atascocita, TX. The role offers up to 20 hours weekly, with two weeks of paid training and no certification required.

You'll support providers, perform blood draws, injections, vitals, and basic lab tasks while ensuring a friendly patient experience. The ideal candidate is personable, reliable, and able to work independently as part of a collaborative clinical team, with some later hours and occasional Saturdays.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required or equivalent.
• 3+ months of MA or Phlebotomist experience or 180 extern hours.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinical setting.
• Basic computer skills.
• Reliable attendance and a positive attitude.
• Certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Take and document manual vital signs.
• Perform routine blood draws.
• Administer intramuscular and subcutaneous injections as directed by the provider.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and documentation.
• Document lab results and quality-control information accurately.
• Prepare labs for processing in-house or externally.
• Ensure labs are ordered appropriately.
• Assist with front-desk responsibilities when needed.
• Create a welcoming and positive patient experience.
• Work collaboratively with providers and team members.

What You’ll Do

As a Medical Assistant, you’ll play an important role in creating a positive, comfortable experience for every patient. You’ll work closely with providers and the clinical team while helping keep day-to-day clinic and laboratory operations running smoothly.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Taking and documenting manual vital signs
• Performing routine blood draws
• Administering intramuscular and subcutaneous injections as directed by the provider
• Maintaining laboratory equipment and documentation
• Documenting lab results and quality-control information accurately
• Preparing labs to be processed in-house or at an outside facility
• Ensuring appropriate labs are ordered for each patient
• Managing weekly inventory and assisting with ordering
• Communicating effectively with team members
• Assisting with front-desk responsibilities when needed
• Creating a welcoming and positive patient experience
• Working collaboratively with providers and fellow team members

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who is personable, reliable, detail-oriented, and ready to jump in and learn.

You should have:

• A physical High School Diploma or GED
• At least 3 months of relevant experience as a Medical Assistant or Phlebotomist in a medical setting, or documented completion of 180 externship hours
• The ability to work comfortably in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Basic computer skills
• A strong work ethic and dependable attendance
• A positive, friendly attitude
• The ability to work independently while also being a strong team player
• Flexibility to work some later hours and Saturdays
• Medical Assistant or Phlebotomy certification is preferred, but not required
• Experience performing venipuncture and intramuscular/subcutaneous injections is preferred

Candidates must also successfully complete a criminal background check.

Schedule

This position requires availability for the following schedule:

• Monday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
• Tuesday: 8:00 AM - 7:00 PM
• Thursday: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM
• Friday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
• Up to 3 Saturdays per month: 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Two full weeks of paid training, Monday through Friday, are required.

Compensation

$19 per hour
