Job summary

University Health seeks Medical Assistant (MA) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for the Lakewood Specialty Clinic in Kansas City, MO. The role supports clinical care, patient prep, vitals, injections, immunizations, EMR updates, and patient education in a fast-paced specialty clinic.

The candidate will have CMA/RMA/NRCMA/CCMA certification, BLS, and MO LPN licensure if applying as LPN. The schedule is 7:30 AM–5:00 PM, 40 hours/week, with a patient-focused team environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• CMA/RMA/NRCMA/CCMA certification required at time of hire and must be maintained.
• Current BLS certification required or ability to obtain before starting.

Responsibilities

• Prep charts, check vitals, and set the stage for great care.
• Administer meds, immunizations, collect specimens, and assist with minor procedures.
• Maintain accurate patient records in EMR and coordinate with the care team.
• Educate patients on treatment plans and follow-up care.
• Support providers and participate in team huddles.
