Position Overview

Under the supervision of a licensed clinician, the Medical Assistant II (MA II) provides clinical care and clerical support to the office/clinic. The role includes receiving training to assist providers and the healthcare team in patient care.

Compensation

We are offering a $3,000 sign-on bonus. Please discuss this with Talent Acquisition during the interview process.

Major Responsibilities

1. Escort patients to examination rooms, take and record vital signs, and document patient health status and progress.
2. Perform EKGs, phlebotomy, and Point of Care (POC) tests according to standards.
3. Prepare, document, and administer non-intravenous injections as directed.
4. Assist in routine physical examinations or clinical procedures.
5. Review laboratory results and notify physicians of abnormal findings promptly.

Position Qualifications

Required:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or Heart Saver (HS) certification from the American Heart Association. Must be obtained within 3 months of hire if not already certified.
• Medical Assistant credential approved by the Massachusetts Department of Health (ARMA, NHA, etc.), to be obtained within 1 year of hire/transfer.
