Job summary

Tennessee Cancer Specialists is seeking a Medical Assistant to support providers during patient visits across our East Tennessee clinics. You will collect medical history, document information, and coordinate care to keep treatment plans on track.

This role emphasizes attention to detail, strong communication, and adherence to HIPAA. A medical assisting certification is preferred, with BLS required on hire; entry-level experience (0-3 years) is welcome, with growth potential in a busy oncology

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent; Medical assisting certification preferred.
• Current BLS certification required within 3 months of hire.
• Entry level medical assistants are 0-3 years of experience; senior level 5+ years.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers with patient visits to support treatment planning.
• Document patient information and maintain thorough charting.
• Obtain patient records and test results while following HIPAA guidelines.
• Schedule and complete patient forms with attention to detail.
• Support additional tasks as needed to ensure smooth clinic operations.
• Greet patients and escort to exam rooms, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
