Job summary

Tennessee Cancer Specialists seeks a Medical Assistant to support patient care at our Greeneville, Kingsport, and Johnson City clinics. You’ll handle behind-the-scenes tasks and charting to help providers deliver high-quality care.

You will greet patients, escort them to exam rooms, record histories, obtain test results, and maintain HIPAA-compliant communications. Entry level to experienced candidates considered; BLS required within 3 months.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Medical Assistant certification preferred.
• Current BLS certification required within 3 months of hire.
• Floating position traveling between Greeneville, Kingsport, and Johnson City.
• Entry level 0-3 years; senior level 5+ years of Medical Assistant experience.
• Requires standing and walking for extended periods; lifting up to 40 lbs.
• Manual dexterity and proper hand-eye coordination.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers with patient preparation and behind-the-scenes tasks.
• Greet patients, escort to exam rooms, and ensure a welcoming environment.
• Obtain patient records, test results, and share with providers per HIPAA.
• Schedule and complete patient forms with attention to detail.
• Maintain accurate charting and effective communication with staff.
