As a Medical Assistant at Intermountain Health, you will support our clinical team by:

  • Providing Patient Care: Assisting the provider in gathering relevant information during patient visits under clinical supervision.
  • Effective Communication: Communicating clearly with patients through various modalities including telephone and in-person interactions.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure quality patient care. Attention to detail and follow-through are essential.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Successful completion of a Medical Assistant Program (certification required upon hire)
  • Or at least one year of Medical Assistant experience (verified upon hire)
  • Or current RN/LPN license to practice nursing in the state
  • Current Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers, obtained prior to start date
  • Basic computer skills including word processing and data entry
  • Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with patients and team members to deliver high-quality care
  • Ability to protect patient privacy and confidentiality, including Protected Health Information (PHI)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in outpatient clinics or healthcare settings
  • Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
  • Current national MA certification from recognized bodies such as RMA, NCMA, CCMA, or CMA

Physical Requirements:

Ongoing visual, manual dexterity, lifting, walking, standing, and driving requirements as detailed in the original description.
