CLS Health in Houston, TX is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to support a multispecialty practice. You will room patients, take vitals, update charts, and assist physicians with exams.

The role requires certification or registration, at least two years of experience, and bilingual abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and knowledge of medical terminology and insurance billing are preferred. We value strong communication, organization, and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Certified or Registered Medical Assistant with a nationally recognized accreditation organization.
• Two years+ of experience as a Medical Assistant preferred.
• Bilingual.
• Experience in a medical office or customer service environment preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other computer applications.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance billing preferred.

Responsabilités

• Rooming the patient
• Interview/update patient’s chief complaint, medical history, medication list, and take vitals.
• Prepares patient charts a week in advance and verifies benefits reports.
• Scanning documents to appropriate patient charts.
• Maks sure all rooms are stocked and clean before clinic, after each patient, and at the end of the day.
• Refill patient medications as directed by a physician and obtain Pre-Authorization/Determination for medications.
• Ensures that physician is in-network and authorized/up-to-date referral is in the patient's chart.
• Assist the physician in the exam room with any wound care and/or procedures.
• Follow up on calls/voicemails and document phone log/conversation
• Educates and informs the patient of any DI, labs, referrals, and procedures physicians might have ordered.
• Schedules patients for upcoming appointments after the physician sees the patient.
• Obtains authorization prior to sending any orders when needed.
• Performs related duties as required.

We Are Looking For
