Job summary

Join our OB/GYN team in North Conway as a Medical Assistant, delivering compassionate, patient-centered care throughout women’s health journeys.

You will support providers and the clinical team across routine visits, preventive care, pregnancy-related care, and postnatal care, ensuring a welcoming and efficient patient experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required/preferred with 160 hours clinical experience.
• Certifications: MA-related (AAMA/NHA/AMT/NCCT) required or exempt per policy.
• Six months MA experience or one year as MaineHealth CTA in a practice setting.
• BLS certification required or obtainable within 30 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Assist OB/GYN providers with patient visits and procedures.
• Prepare patients, chart information, and coordinate care.
• Maintain clinical readiness and attention to detail in a fast-paced clinic.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

• Education: High School diploma or GED preferred. Must meet one of the following requirements: Graduated from an accredited vocational institution or community college in Medical Assisting with 160 hours of clinical experience completed; or completion of an Adult Education Medical Assistant program and 6 months of clinical experience in a practice setting; or 1 year of clinical experience in a multi-provider practice setting (equivalent experience will be evaluated on a case-based basis).
• License/Certifications: Current AAMA, NHA, AMT, or NCCT certification required. (Prior to 5/01/25 MA IIs with 10 years MA experience and employed by MaineHealth as a MA in the most recent 5 years are exempt from certification requirement). Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date. Fully remote care team members are exempt from BLS certification requirement. A NH Med Tech License, or NH EMT and National Registry EMT license is required for those positions located in New Hampshire.
• Experience: Six months of experience as a Medical Assistant or one year as a MaineHealth Clinical Team Assistant.

The base range is an estimate and does not reflect the full value of our total compensation package.

The pay range for this position is $21.09 to $27.12 per hour.

Compensation for part-time positions is determined on a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
