MaineHealth is hiring a Medical Assistant to join the Cancer Care team in North Conway, NH. You will be part of a compassionate team supporting patients through their cancer journey, from preparing patients for visits to collaborating with providers and care team.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or GED; MA programs with 160 clinical hours; or 1 year clinical experience in practice setting.
• License/Certifications: Current AAMA, NHA, AMT, or NCCT; BLS within 30 days; NH Med Tech License or NH EMT if NH position.
• Experience: Six months as Medical Assistant or one year as MaineHealth Clinical Team Assistant.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

• Education: High School diploma or GED preferred. Must meet one of the following requirements: Graduated from an accredited vocational institution or community college in Medical Assisting with 160 hours of clinical experience completed; or completion of an Adult Education Medical Assistant program and 6 months of clinical experience in a practice setting; or 1 year of clinical experience in a multi-provider practice setting (equivalent experience will be evaluated on a case‑by‑case basis).
• License/Certifications: Current AAMA, NHA, AMT, or NCCT certification required. (Prior to 5/01/25 MA IIs with 10 years MA experience and employed by MaineHealth as a MA in the most recent 5 years are exempt from certification requirement). Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date. Fully remote care team members are exempt from BLS certification requirement. A NH Med Tech License, or NH EMT and National Registry EMT license is required for those positions located in New Hampshire.
• Experience: Six months of experience as a Medical Assistant or one year as a MaineHealth Clinical Team Assistant.

The pay range for this position is $21.09to $27.12 per hour.

Compensation for part-time positions isdeterminedon a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
