Job description

Work Schedule:


Part-time, 90% FTE, day shift. Monday through Friday between 8:00am - 5:00pm, with rotating days off each pay period. No weekends required. Hours may vary based on departmental needs.


Pay: UW Health offers a competitive compensation package. Relevant work experience will be considered when determining the starting salary.

We are seeking a Medical Assistant (MA, CMA, RMA, CCMA, LPN) to:


  • Support obstetricians/gynecologists, advanced practice providers, and certified nurse midwives in providing comprehensive medical and surgical services, from primary care to advanced infertility and malignancy treatments.
  • Deliver high-quality, compassionate care in a patient-family-centered environment.
  • Prepare patients for exams, record vital signs, document complaints, medications, allergies, and assist during examinations and procedures.
  • Promote healthy lifestyles, wellness, and patient education.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and one of the following:
  • Completion of an accredited medical assistant program, or
  • Licensure as an LPN, or
  • Completion of the UWH Medical Assistant Apprenticeship or Employee Partner Medical Assistant Program, or
  • Attainment of CCMA certification as a UWH employee, or
  • Acceptance into the UWH MA Apprenticeship Program - Accelerated, or
  • One year of recent Medical Assistant experience with CMA, RMA, or CCMA certification.

Work Experience
  • One year of experience as a Certified Medical Assistant or LPN preferred.

Licenses & Certifications
  • Certification as MA, CMA, RMA, or CCMA within 1 year required, or
  • Licensure as an LPN upon hire required, or
  • If applying without formal Medical Assistant education or LPN licensure, current CMA, RMA, or CCMA certification upon hire required.
  • CPR/BLS certification upon hire required.
