Job description

Work Schedule:

Part-time, 90% FTE day shift. Monday through Friday between 8:00am - 5:00pm, rotating day off each pay period. No weekends required. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.

Pay: UW Health offers a competitive compensation package. Work experience relevant to the position will be considered when determining the starting pay.

We are currently seeking a Medical Assistant (MA, CMA, RMA, CCMA, LPN) to:

  1. Join obstetricians/gynecologists, advanced practice providers, and certified nurse midwives providing a broad range of services from basic obstetric and gynecological care to advanced infertility diagnosis and treatment.
  2. Provide quality, compassionate care in a patient-family centered environment.
  3. Prepare patients for examinations, record vital signs, document complaints, medications, allergies, and assist during exams and procedures.
  4. Promote healthy lifestyles, wellness, and education.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and one of the following:
    • Completion of an accredited medical assistant program, or
    • Licensure as an LPN, or
    • Completion of the UWH Medical Assistant Apprenticeship Program or an Employee Partner Medical Assistant Program, or
    • Attainment of CCMA certification as a UWH employee, or
    • Acceptance into the UWH MA Apprenticeship Program - Accelerated, or
    • One year of recent Medical Assistant experience with CMA, RMA, or CCMA certification.
  • Work Experience: 1 year as a Certified Medical Assistant or LPN preferred.
  • Licenses & Certifications:
    • Certified MA, CMA, RMA, or CCMA within 1 year required, or
    • LPN licensure upon hire required, or
    • Current CMA, RMA, or CCMA certification upon hire if applying in lieu of education or licensure, required.
    • CPR/BLS certification upon hire required.
