Hours of Work

Job Description

Your role involves working under the general direction of the physician, with support from the clinical coordinator if applicable, and reporting directly to the office manager. You will provide healthcare services, perform routine clinical procedures, participate in patient education, document accurately in patients' health records, and perform other duties within your certification scope.

Job Requirements

• 1-3 years of healthcare-related experience
• Customer service experience preferred
• Current approved medical assistant credential or obtained within 90 days of hire
• Current NCT permit through the Texas Medical Board

Job Responsibilities

• Maintain patient confidentiality and discretion in discussing patient information
• Implement patient care and follow-up, including lab result notifications and updating patient information under physician or manager guidance
• Perform injections (intramuscular, intradermal, subcutaneous) with proper documentation
• Assist physicians and other medical staff in providing nursing care
• Take patient history and vital signs
• Follow infection control procedures diligently
• Clean and disinfect instruments, maintain QA reports for autoclave, and perform autoclaving as needed
• Conduct nurse/injection visits with proper documentation
• Perform X-rays and PFT tests
• Prepare FMLA forms and other documents for physician review and signature
• Perform additional duties as assigned
