Job summary

St. Elizabeth Healthcare in Edgewood, KY seeks a Medical Assistant to support physicians in IM/Pediatrics clinics. The role includes taking vital signs, preparing exams, administering medications, collecting specimens, and ensuring HIPAA/OSHA compliance.

Schedule is regular 40 hours with no nights, holidays, or weekends. You will document patient histories, assist with procedures, and coordinate with the care team to optimize patient flow and revenue cycle tasks.

Qualifications

• Minimum: High School Diploma/G.E.D.
• Knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint
• One of the following: 1 year MA, CNA, PCA, STNA, or SEH Clinical Care Tech experience; MA program completion; SEP Internship; EMT certification; or health/biology degree with clinical care

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms, interview patients, measure vital signs and document in chart.
• Document patient history and address exam questions with providers.
• Prepare patient for the exam and assist the provider during examinations.
• Perform nursing procedures under supervision and collect/prepare lab specimens.
• Prepare and administer medications as directed and ensure accurate charting and revenue-cycle documentation.
