Job summary

Capital Medical Group is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to provide high-quality clinical and administrative support at our Bethesda specialty site. The role supports physicians and patients, with responsibilities ranging from patient prep and vital signs to minor procedures and EMR documentation.

The ideal candidate will have a Medical Assistant program credential, a current BLS/CPR/AED certification, and at least one year of MA experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program is required.
• Current BLS/CPR/AED certification is required.
• Certification and Registration as a Medical Assistant is required.
• Minimum of one year of Medical Assistant experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and registered nurses with patient histories, vital signs, and preparation for examinations.
• Prepare patients for examination and for various specimen collections.
• Administer oral and injectable medications as prescribed, with competency demonstrated to a registered nurse.
• Assist with minor procedures and explain tests and post-op instructions to patients.
• Handle lab results, communicate with physicians, and manage scheduling and chart documentation.
• Maintain a clean clinical environment and manage inventory and equipment.
