Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant program, or eligibility for certification within 12 months of hire.
• RMA, CMA, CCMA, or NRCMA certification within 12 months of hire.
• Current American Heart Association BLS/CPR certification within 30 days of hire.
• Six months of medical assistant experience or completion of an externship.
• Specialty clinic experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of ICD9/10 and CPT coding and insurance procedures.
• Ability to work occasional evenings or weekends.
• Ability to float to other clinic practices as needed.
• Maintains required credentials.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to HIPAA and CLIA compliance standards.
• Support multiple specialties and maintain effective communication with healthcare providers and patients.
