Job summary

Memorial Health System of Southwest Oklahoma is seeking a Medical Assistant to support patient care in the clinic during office hours. The MA assists physicians and other staff, prepares patients, and ensures smooth flow of visits for diverse age groups from children to geriatrics.

Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program is required, with documentation provided at time of hire for verification.

Job description

DEFINITION:

The Medical Assistant (MA) is accountable for assisting in the delivery of patient care in the clinic during office hours. The medical assistant is accountable to the Physician/Provider, Office Supervisor, Department Director, patient and family for patient care functions. Patient population includes: all age groups to include children, adolescents, adults and geriatrics.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Graduated from a Medical Assistant Program. Provides documentation showing completion of the medical assistant program; which needs to be presented at time of hire allowing the hospital to verify completion.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

One to two years physicians’ office experience, as a MA, preferably primary care.
