Job summary

Memorial Health System of Southwest Oklahoma is seeking a Medical Assistant to support patient care in the clinic during office hours. The MA will work under physicians and clinic leadership to ensure smooth patient flow and accurate documentation.

Minimum qualifications include graduation from an approved Medical Assistant Program with documentation required at hire; preferred candidates have 1–2 years of physicians' office experience, preferably in primary care.

DEFINITION:

The Medical Assistant (MA) is accountable for assisting in the delivery of patient care in the clinic during office hours. The medical assistant is accountable to the Physician/Provider, Office Supervisor, Department Director, patient and family for patient care functions. Patient population includes: all age groups to include children, adolescents, adults and geriatrics.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Graduated from a Medical Assistant Program. Provides documentation showing completion of the medical assistant program; which needs to be presented at time of hire allowing the hospital to verify completion.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

One to two years physicians’ office experience, as a MA, preferably primary care.
