Job summary

Prime Healthcare seeks a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) at Mission Regional Medical Center in Mission, TX. The role blends clinical support and front-desk duties within the Mission Heart/Vascular department, with day shifts from 8:00am to 5:00pm.

Applicants should have a High School Diploma or equivalent and a CMA certification is preferred. A current BLS card is required, and at least one year of public-facing healthcare experience is valued.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Medical Assistant Certification preferred.
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Minimum one year work experience in public contact job.
• Work experience in health care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, obtain vital signs, and prepare them for examinations and procedures.
• Assist providers with routine clinical procedures, treatments, and patient care needs.
• Administer medications and injections as permitted by certification and clinic policy.
• Update patient records, document clinical information, and maintain accurate medical histories.
• Coordinate prescription refills, lab results, referrals, and follow-up appointment.

We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant, also referred to as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA). Certified Medical Assistants will support both clinical and administrative tasks, such as taking vital signs, assisting with procedures, updating patient records, and coordinating appointments. Medical Assistants will work under the supervision of physicians and nurses in a fast-paced environment, helping to deliver exceptional patient care and ensure smooth clinical operations.
