The Medical Assistant supports providers and care teams by preparing patients for visits, collecting vital information, assisting with procedures, documenting care, and ensuring smooth clinic operations.

What You’ll Do
- Prepare patients for appointments and procedures
- Obtain vital signs, medical histories, and chief complaints
- Assist providers during exams and treatments
- Administer immunizations and collect specimens
- Document patient care accurately in the Electronic Health Record (EHR)
- Support patient education, discharge planning, and follow-up care
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized exam rooms
- Collaborate with providers and interdisciplinary care teams
- Support quality improvement initiatives and patient-centered care
Medical Assistant Career Levels
- Medical Assistant I: Entry-level to 1 year of experience
- Medical Assistant II: 1–3 years of experience
- Medical Assistant III: 3+ years of experience
Compensation
$20.00 - $26.00 per hour
- Up to an additional $2.00/hour for certified MAs
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- High School Diploma or GED
- Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program or current MA certification
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Ability to complete credentialing and privileging requirements
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) preferred
- Ability to provide culturally sensitive care
- Must obtain or possess a valid Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card
Preferred
- Bilingual Spanish-speaking candidates encouraged to apply
- Experience in primary care, pediatrics, or behavioral health settings
- Experience working in community health or integrated care environments
