Job Description

The Medical Assistant is responsible for maintaining inventory, ordering supplies, and stocking the clinic. Under the medical oversight of a doctor, the MA will coordinate and manage client care to include preparing clients for treatment and exams, translation, referrals, documentation, and performing routine specialized procedures.

Specialties

Family Practice, Pediatrics, and Psychiatry

Level I - up to one year experience, $20.00/hour + $1.00/hour for certified MAs

Level II - 1 -3 years experience, $20.00-$21.50/hour + $2.00/hour for certified MAs

Level III - 3+ years experience, $26.00/hour + $2.00/hour for certified MAs

Qualifications
  • 18 years or older
  • High School diploma and certificate from an Accredited Medical Assisting Program
  • Must complete internal credentialing and privileging within 90 days of hire date
  • Ability to manage multiple changing priorities in an effective and organized fashion
  • Ability to provide culturally sensitive services
  • Knowledge of Windows environment and/or Electronic Health Records systems
  • Must have or be able to obtain a valid Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card
  • CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) trained or the ability to be trained within 90 days of hire date
  • Basic Life Support trained
  • Must possess reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and proof of auto insurance or sign waiver
