A leading healthcare provider seeks a Medical Assistant skilled in OBGYN procedures for their Los Angeles clinic. Responsibilities include patient interaction, assisting with medical procedures, and handling lab work. The ideal candidate should possess relevant certifications and experience, ensuring excellent patient care and support within the clinic.

Location: 8635 W. 3rd Street, Los Angeles, CA 90048
Float Location: 1192 Hilhurst Ave, Los Feliz, CA 90027
Shift: 8 hours between 0600-1800
***Experience with the following OBGYN procedures required: PAP, Coplo, Leep, D&C, EMB, IUD insertions, and removals, Nexplanon, and NST***
Required Qualifications:
•Medical Assistant Certificate/Diploma from a DAPIP accredited program OR national certification through AAMA, AMCA, AMT, CCBMA, or MMCI.
•Experience with medical insurance, referral processes, and benefit plans
•Demonstrated ability to prepare patients for examination by performing preliminary physical tests, taking blood pressure, weight, and temperature, and reporting patient history summaries
•2 years working as an MA in an outpatient clinic or medical office setting
• 1 years of OBGYN setting experience
•Proficiency with blood/lab draws and venipuncture
Preferred Qualifications:
•2+ years working as a MA in outpatient OBGYN
•Experience with CS-Link/Epic
•Experience with Quest Diagnostic laboratory submissions
•Phlebotomy certification
•Understanding of medical terminology
Job Duties:
•Greet patients, take appropriate vital signs, review current meds and record in medical record
•Assist with tracking and monitoring department specific data
•Explain policies, procedures, or services to patients based on scope of practice
•Set up exam/procedure rooms appropriate to the patient visit needs
•Clean and re-process equipment and supplies following department guidelines
•Administer immunizations, injections, or oral medications as directed by provider
•Draw and prepare designated lab work or specimens as directed by provider
