Job Summary: Provides patient care in the office setting, addressing psychosocial, physical, and general aspects of care; meets communication needs of patients and families; demonstrates initiative and responsibility consistent with professional standards, under supervision of a Licensed Practical Nurse, Registered Nurse, physician, and clinic manager. Maintains regulatory compliance, nursing, and office policies, procedures, and standards. Communicates with physicians and team members regarding patient's clinical condition, including diagnostic results and symptoms.
Requirements: - High school diploma or equivalent.
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assisting Program approved by the US Department of Education, the Council for Higher Education Accreditation, or similar accrediting body.
- Current certification or registration as a Medical Assistant (AMT, AAMP, AAH, AAMA, or NCCT). Certification or registration must be maintained throughout employment to retain Medical Assistant Level IV status.
- Preferred: 1 year of related experience in a medical clinic or office.
- Current BLS certification at hire or obtained during orientation; must be maintained through renewal.
- Float positions require a Valid Driver’s License.
