Overview

Assists the physician and office staff with clerical duties, patient preparation, scheduling, lab work, x-ray, and medical records. Performs patient care activities as directed, consistent with nursing standards. Upholds Mercy's philosophy of caring for the sick with respect, dignity, and Christian values. Communicates professionally and compassionately with patients, families, visitors, and staff. Performs related duties as assigned.

Medical Assistant Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED
• Certification: Must obtain BLS Certification within 90 days of hire
• Preferred Experience: 6 months of clinical healthcare experience

Certified Medical Assistant Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED
• Certification: Must have active Medical Assistant Certification/registrations (RMA, CCMA, CMA) and BLS certification within 90 days
