Job summary

Premise Health in Mesa, AZ is seeking a PRN Medical Assistant to provide care to employee patients and dependents at our Health Center. There may be PRN coverage at Chandler and Phoenix sites, with hours varying Mon-Thu 7am-6pm and Fri 7am-4pm.

The role emphasizes clinical tasks, accurate record-keeping, front-desk support, and coordinating with healthcare teams; BLS certification is required and externalities will be discussed during Talent Acquisition contact.

Qualifications

• Must have national MA certification or accredited MA program with externship and transcripts.
• Hands-on BLS certification (AHA/ARC or equivalent) required.

Responsibilities

• Interviews patients and measures vital signs.
• Maintains patient health records to ensure accuracy.
• Prepares treatment rooms and sterilizes instruments.
• Administers medications and performs labs and EKGs as allowed.
• Performs front desk duties, schedules appointments, and calls for follow ups.
• Orders medical supplies and performs other duties as assigned.

As a PRN Medical Assistant (MA), you'll provide care to client employees and their dependents in our Health Center located inMesa, AZ. This role may also provide PRN coverage at additional sites within the Chandler and Phoenix areas, as needed. Hours may vary within the combined operating times of Monday-Thursday, 7am-6pm and Friday, 7am-4pm.

What You’ll Do

• Interviews patients and measures vital signs (pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height)
• Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records
• Prepares treatment rooms, cleans and sterilizes instruments
• Medication administration including injections, performs laboratory tests, operates EKGs and other diagnostic equipment as permitted by state regulations
• Performs administrative tasks, assists at the front desk, schedules appointments, makes follow-up calls, and orders medical supplies
• Performs other duties as assigned

What You’ll Bring

• National certification in Medical Assisting from a Premise Health approved organization OR Certificate/Diploma and Transcripts from an accredited Medical Assistant program with hands on externship completed and passed- total online courses are not accepted
• Current certification with hands on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required
