Job summary

Premise Health is seeking a Part-Time Medical Assistant to support our Health Center in Chandler, AZ. The role covers patient care, vital signs, patient records, room preparation, and medication administration, along with front-desk assistance and scheduling.

Requirements include an MA certification (CMA or equivalent) and hands-on BLS training; state-specific lab certification may apply in NV. This position offers a part-time schedule (20–29 hrs/week) and company benefits to eligible team

Qualifications

• National certification in Medical Assisting from Premise Health approved organization or externship with hands-on training (online courses not accepted).
• Current certification with hands-on BLS training (AHA/ARC or equivalent).
• State Lab Certificate (NV only).
• CMA certification from recognized certifying bodies (e.g. AAM, NCT, NCMA, AMT) as applicable by state.”

Responsibilities

• Interview patients and measure vital signs (pulse, temp, BP, weight, height).
• Maintain patient health records with accuracy.
• Prepare treatment rooms, clean and sterilize instruments.
• Administer medications including injections; perform labs, EKGs and related tests as allowed by state law.
• Assist at front desk, schedule appointments, make follow-up calls, order supplies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

As a Part Time Medical Assistant (MA)- PT, you'll provide care to client employees in our Health Center located in Chandler, AZ. The scheduled hours are Tuesday 11:00am-7:00pm, Wednesday 11:00am-7:00pm, Fridays 7:00am-3:00pm.

What You’ll Do

• Interviews patients and measures vital signs (pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height)
• Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records
• Prepares treatment rooms, cleans and sterilizes instruments
• Medication administration including injections, performs laboratory tests, operates EKGs and other diagnostic equipment as permitted by state regulations
• Performs administrative tasks, assists at the front desk, schedules appointments, makes follow-up calls, and orders medical supplies
• Performs other duties as assigned

What You’ll Bring

• National certification in Medical Assisting from a Premise Health approved organization OR Certificate/Diploma and Transcripts from an accredited Medical Assistant program with hands on externship completed and passed- total online courses are not accepted
• Current certification with hands on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required
• State Lab Certificate (NV only)
• CMA certification required from the American Association of Medical Assistants, the National Center of Competency Testing, the National Certification Medical Association, American Medical Technologists, or any other recognized certifying body approved by the Board of Medical Examiners (South Carolina only)
