Job summary

Premise Health Inc. is seeking a PRN Medical Assistant to support client employees and dependents at the Mesa Health Center in Mesa, AZ. This role may also provide PRN coverage at additional sites within Chandler and Phoenix as needed. Hours vary within Monday-Thursday 7am-6pm and Friday 7am-4pm.

The MA will perform clinical tasks (vital signs, room prep, injections, EKGs, labs) and handle front-desk duties, scheduling, and supply orders, with strong emphasis on accurate records and patient care.

Qualifications

• National certification in Medical Assisting or equivalent with hands-on externship.
• Current Basic Life Support certification required.
• Previous Medical Assistant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interviews patients and measures vital signs.
• Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records.
• Prepares treatment rooms, cleans and sterilizes instruments.
• Medication administration including injections, performs lab tests, operates EKGs and other diagnostic equipment as permitted by state regulations.
• Performs administrative tasks, assists at the front desk, schedules appointments, makes follow-up calls, and orders medical supplies.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

As a PRN Medical Assistant (MA), you'll provide care to client employees and their dependents in our Health Center located inMesa, AZ. This role may also provide PRN coverage at additional sites within the Chandler and Phoenix areas, as needed. Hours may vary within the combined operating times of Monday-Thursday, 7am-6pm and Friday, 7am-4pm.

What You’ll Do

• Interviews patients and measures vital signs (pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height)
• Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records
• Prepares treatment rooms, cleans and sterilizes instruments
• Medication administration including injections, performs laboratory tests, operates EKGs and other diagnostic equipment as permitted by state regulations
• Performs administrative tasks, assists at the front desk, schedules appointments, makes follow-up calls, and orders medical supplies
• Performs other duties as assigned

What You’ll Bring

• National certification in Medical Assisting from a Premise Health approved organization OR Certificate/Diploma and Transcripts from an accredited Medical Assistant program with hands on externship completed and passed- total online courses are not accepted
• Current certification with hands‑on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required
• Previous Medical Assistant experience preferred
