Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Medical Assistant for Primary Care Pediatrics in Vernon Hills, IL. The role includes greeting patients, taking vital signs, and assisting with front desk tasks across a busy pediatric practice.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent, CPR certification, and 1 year of medical office experience; MA certification is preferred but not required. This is a full-time position with varied hours.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program preferred, but not required.
• CPR certification through the American Heart Association required.
• Medical Assistant Certification (AMT or AAMA) preferred, but not required.
• One year of work experience in a medical office or related field required; on-the-job training provided for those without prior MA experience.

• Greet patients and escort them to exam rooms.
• Document vital signs, allergies, medications and reason for visit.
• Provide front office support as needed.
• Perform basic vitals such as BP, height, and weight.
• Phlebotomy and injections may be required.

Position Highlights

Medical Assistant (MA) - Primary Care Pediatrics

• Position: Medical Assistant
• Location: Vernon Hills, IL
• Full Time/Part Time: Full Time
• Hours: Monday-Thursday, rotating hours between 6:30am – 6pm, Friday between 7:30am – 5pm and rotating Saturdays between 7:30am – 1pm
• Required Travel: Travel to other sites based upon department needs.

What You Will Need

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent work experience is required. Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program is preferred, but not required
