Sign-On Bonuses for a Limited Time:

  • $4,000 for 0-1 years of experience (full time)
  • $5,000 for 1+ years of experience (full time)

Eligibility: Candidates hired into a full or part-time MA position are eligible. Bonus amount prorated for part-time hires. Per diem hires are ineligible. Current MaineHealth employees are ineligible; former employees are ineligible until more than 6 months since separation.

Position Details: This is a full-time, 40-hour per week Medical Assistant role in a busy practice within MaineHealth Orthopedics and Sports Medicine - Rockport. The Medical Assistant supports the clinical team in delivering safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, efficient, and equitable care.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Education: High school diploma or GED preferred. Must meet one of the following:
    • Graduated from an accredited vocational or community college in Medical Assisting with 160 hours of clinical experience, or
    • Completed an Adult Education Medical Assistant program with 6 months of clinical experience, or
    • One year of clinical experience in a multi-provider practice (equivalent experience evaluated case-by-case).
  • Certifications: Current AAMA, NHA, AMT, or NCCT certification preferred or achieved within 1 year of eligibility. Current BLS certification required within 3 months of hire. NH Med Tech License required for positions in New Hampshire.
  • Experience: Relevant experience as a Medical Assistant preferred.
