Minimum Qualifications:
High School, GED or formal educational equivalent.
Current BLS
Completion of Medical Assistant training program at an accredited institution.
Excellent communication skills, basic computer skills, strong work ethics and accountability.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in an ambulatory care setting.
1 or more years of MA experience
Additional Information:
Responsibilities:
Prepares treatment rooms for examination.
Assists with medical procedures and examinations
Conducts patient interviews, measures vital signs (i.e., pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height), and phlebotomy.
Performs EKG’s, dressing changes.
Administers approved medications.
Researches and scribes physicians’.
Orders/accession orders for clinical laboratory or appropriate processing center.
Performs administrative tasks by registering and scheduling patients for appointments, procedures, etc. using the various registration and scheduling systems.
May perform other duties as assigned.
