Schedule Details/Additional Information:
Major Responsibilities:- Performs clinical staff functions for the majority of the workday.
- Monitors and coordinates the day-to-day operations in the occupational health program area(s). Provides daily work direction to the staff and acts as an expert resource. Assists in staff scheduling.
- Orients and trains nursing staff on clinical competencies.
- Monitors clinical staff for effective completion and adherence to nursing standards during the provision of patient care including: vital signs, injections, blood draws, drug screens, breath alcohol testing, spirometry, respiratory fit testing, audiometric testing and physicals.
- Assists with maintenance and editing of information databases.
- Assists with monitoring and maintaining staff licenses, certifications and documentation of training.
- Responds to client needs and concerns from established occupational health accounts.
- Facilitates customer service improvement activities, and in collaboration with supervisor, develops and implements processes for increased efficiency and effectiveness.
- Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served. Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs, and to provide the care needed as described in the department's policies and procedures. Age-specific information is developed further in the departmental job standards.
Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:Education Required:- Associate's Degree (or equivalent knowledge) in Allied Health.
Experience Required:- Typically requires 5 years of experience in an occupational health, urgent care or emergency care environment.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:- Demonstrated leadership skills such as: project management, team building, and delegation.
- Demonstrated ability to follow through on projects from beginning to end with a high attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and conflict resolution skills.
- Excellent judgment and problem solving skills.
- Excellent time management and organization skills.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:- May be required to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
- Must have functional speech, hearing and vision.
- May be exposed to blood and body fluids; therefore, protective clothing must be worn as appropriate.
- Environment is a moderate to high-stress environment.
- Operates all equipment necessary to perform the job.

Pay Range
$22.50 - $33.75
