Per Diem Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Location: Boston, MA 02210

Job Type: Per Diem, 1099 contract

Pay Rate: $50/hr

Schedule: 5/20 & 5/21 (7am-5:30pm)

Job Description

VitalCheck Wellness is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) with phlebotomy experience to assist patients with referral appointments and perform skilled specimen collections for employees at private businesses in Boston, MA. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to create a supportive environment.

We are open to considering an LPN, RN, Phlebotomist, CNA/MA, or Paramedic with phlebotomy experience (certification preferred).

Responsibilities

• Perform and accurately collect specimens (phlebotomy)
• Record patient information, including insurance details, and utilize electronic health records
• Discuss and review health history, diagnosis, and patient needs
• Educate patients on follow-up care steps
• Assist with billing, coding, and obtaining pre-approvals from insurance companies
• Establish and maintain relationships with service providers
• Maintain professionalism and respect towards patients
• Provide excellent customer service
• Collect data and create spreadsheets

Requirements

• Valid active license/certification
• Current BLS/ACLS certification
• Phlebotomy experience (certified phlebotomist preferred)
• Experience with medical scheduling and EMR systems is a plus
• Customer service-oriented with great bedside manner
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Personal laptop or tablet required
• Reliable transportation to work throughout Boston, MA
